Afinia Label, a manufacturer and distributor of industrial color label printing and finishing equipment, has released the DLF-220L Digital Label Finisher. The DLF-220L is the newest addition to Afinia’s family of products. The DLF-220L allows companies the freedom to produce full-color, laminated labels, in custom shapes and sizes, on-demand, for just-in-time manufacturing.

This all-in-one machine can laminate, contour cut labels with a digitally controlled knife, remove the surrounding waste, slit and rewind finished labels onto rolls. These finished rolls of labels are then ready to be applied—whether by hand or automation—to packaging. The entire process is automated, inline and simple, enabling companies to produce professional labels in-house.

The DLF-220L, when combined with Afinia Label’s L801 Digital Color Printer, brings label designs made in vector art applications, such as Adobe Illustrator, to life without expensive plates, dies or minimum order quantities. In addition, content on labels can be digitally changed as needed, eliminating waste.
